Ilhabela is an archipelago compounded of 6 islands. More than 85% of its total area are preserved by the State Park of Serra do Mar. There are more than 35 islands, some yet uninhabited, having plenty of waterfalls and a vast Tropical Forest.

 

The city is turned to the São Sebastião Channel where is located the Port of São Sebastião. There are more than 22 thousand habitants living in a stripe of 34km in front of the Channel.

 

Ilhabela was discovered in 1502 by Américo Vespúcio or Amerigo Vespucci. After more than 500 years Ilhabela is considered one of the most beautiful site places of Brazil.
